kmxexii Precipitous Ascent drops the dubstep from Apocalytic Dawn and adds a little bit of cyberpunk flair as it describes the post-apocalyptic wanderings of a shred wizard who battles with hot licks. Jon's energy level is through the roof, but the way the album careens from idea to idea with virtuoso gusto leaves me with little impression of where the Shred is or what he is doing besides melting my face off with a Pandora's box of wicked-ass guitar riffs. I dig the jam near the end of "Green". Favorite track: Precipitous Ascent.

about

A Lone Musician roams the wastelands of Sabit in the aftermath of the Apocalyptic Dawn.

But the Impaled aren't the only danger in the post apocalyptic landscape - Paragon termination squads, the violent Waste Rider gang, psychoactive "Entity" fumes, the Order of the Impaled and more lurk.

This is a Precipitous Ascent to chaos.
