Shane Dangers JOTS goes waaaaay back 10+ years now, and he has been busy while synthwave has exploded.. he has the sound we old schoolers fell for 10 years back when it was only LuigiDonatello, NewRetroWave, and Maniac Synth.. 2012 era sounds!! albums are nicely priced too.. if you consider yourself a die hard synth fan, don't ignore JOTS, or risk being shredded into irrelevance.. 5 star stuff Favorite track: This Can't Be Real.

SkipJack Apocalyptic Dawn is a great call-back to the days of the concept album. Longer tracks that really get into the mood and atmosphere of the retro, horror-inspired album. 'And So It Begins' is a strong opening track that gets you hyped for the rest of the album, and 'Societal Decay' is one of my favourites with a series of memorable riffs.
The only thing I wanted from Jon's Northbury Grove soundtrack was longer tracks, and my wish was granted. Thank you, Jon of the Shred. ♥ Favorite track: Societal Decay.

FLESH MECHANIC Jon of the Shred utilizes similar cinematic vibe as Protector 101. Atmospheric journey into a world that ended has never sounded so majestic. Favorite track: Undead Pestilence.

kmxexii Jon is one of the boldest artists to fly the synthwave banner. His debut is a melting pot of musical ideas that establishes his ability as a multi-instrumentalist as well as his claim to his title - "of the Shred". Apocalyptic Dawn has way too much verve to sell me on a zombie apocalypse, sounding like a relentless, swashbuckling overture with Latin flourishes, excepting "Undead Pestilence" and its grim atmosphere. It's a fun listen, though. If you can get into "And So it Begins", you're set. Favorite track: Apocalyptic Dawn.
